![]() About Nina Pellar Le Baron, AIA Nina has worked in architecture for more then 25 years. She holds a Masters in Historic Preservation from Columbia University (1983) and a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design (1980). While at RISD, she studied glass blowing and stained glass construction with contemporary glass artist Dale Chihuly. She designed the stage sets for the Apparel Department's annual student show two years in a row. From 1984 to 1991, she was Preservation Director of the Art Deco Society of San Francisco, which preserves and promotes the art and architecture of the first half of the 20th Century. She has worked in New York (S.O. M., Beyer-Blender-Bell, Rafael Vinoly & Associates) and San Francisco (Dan Phipps, Ehrenkrantz Group, Richard Hannum, Linda Scott). Nina and her family moved to San Juan Island, WA from Mill Valley, CA in 2002. She currently is the President of the Board of the Westcott Bay Institute that has a Museum and Sculpture Park on the Island-helping to promote the local artist community economically.
